Sceptical and Monocliptic Cobra, rat snake, common crate, bob snake, Indian rock Python are a few common species found here.  Their presence  can be turned  into projecting it as   a lucrative venue for TV channels engaged in the study of snakes.  Himachal Pradesh’s CM is going all out to bring in the investments from around the country and the world. This is a commendable gesture by a Chief Minister. These are giant steps which will reap results in years.By the same token, they can also be compared by growing a fruiting tree for the generations down the line.  Furthermore the migratory birds which flock the Pong during winters and the variety of snakes which lay sunbathing on the Rancer Island are a treat for the animal channels. It is a one-hour boat ride from the banks of Pong waters. Apart from snakes, this place is also home to SAMBAR, Barking Deer and Red jungle fall.
