Pong Dam is the Pride of Himachal Pradesh. It credits Himachal with one of the 27 international wetland sites declared in India by Ramsar Convention.

I have collected a few pictures of mesmerizing lakes around the world.
Pong’s beauty can give a huff huff run to any of these lakes. We have created the best. The only thing required is to present it in the best possible way.
Bird hunting is banned, but fishing is open except the breeding months.Lake is home to Mahseer, Common Crap , Catla or Theila , Rohu , Mori , Silver Crap, Grass Crap and Gugli or Saloh fish.
This place can cash on an efficient processing unit for fish products. Pong can turn into a hub for fish lovers.
The locals need to be groomed for tourism first. Vijay Kumar shared that it is not the tourist who leave behind the waste near the lake but the locals who assert their right by cluttering the banks.
They need to be tough to take pride and safeguard the best that they have.
Stern policies and their swift implementation will promise the locals array of employment opportunities and well as gobs of revenue to the state.]]>
