Howdy People!
GIRI GANGA
Cyclists have reached Giri Ganga.
Himachal has alluring stories to share. The name Giri Ganga has a fascinating background as well.
Origin -The name
People who travel and read are worldly-wise. So, were the sadhus of the time. The name Giri Ganga is credited to them.
It is believed that a few sadhu’s wanted to make a place as pious and powerful as Kashi. They did select a place in Shimla district.
While they were on their way to the place.
They happened to splash the Gangajal meant for the purification and pooja of the place , here.
As the Gangajal splashed on the ground. Promptly the sadhus said, “Giri Ganga.” Therefore, the name Giri Ganga came into being.
The story continues to tell the tale of the river which was created and hence, Giri Ganga came into being.
Fable
Another fable has it that the Pandavas also stayed here during their agyatvas.
It has a temple away from the proximity of the population to support the story and a water body. It is called KUNDH.
Himachal Pradesh is home to the most lovable and admired nature hubs in the country. It is only a matter of time that people will start discovering all of them one by one.
Before we unveil or expose our treasures , the government should put strict bans on Plastic waste, litter, open defecation, hooliganism, and road rage.
If these are ignored then as the gems will unveil their beauty. So, they will wrinkle and fade.
Tourism Fixes
I have always wondered Why a place like Himachal lacks in its tourism profits? We have tried to ape everything that the world already has and has provided.
Leaving behind the best and the rarest that we have. Our culture, food, local products, etc are few of the unmatchable things we possess.
Bhutan model
As countries like Bhutan maintain their low volume and high impact tourism, Himachal should follow. Limit the number of tourists. Increase the value of your services.
Himachal has its cultural as well as the natural wonders. Take pride and dine to the taste of Himachal.
sharing the day-4 pictures
