Here, I would like to specify that I am not backing the hoteliers who have taken advantage of their well-placed links and build the towers for self-destruction. I have spoken with many casualties of the political backed administrative construction mafia in Maclodganj of Dharamshala Himachal Pradesh and Kasauli . Someone compared themselves with the farmers, saying,”Tell us why should we not commit suicide?We are equally vulnerable.We are under loans from banks and the income has stopped”.There were rumors making rounds about the amount of money that will be needed to bribe the system once again to settle it down.The pain in their voice can be felt as this time the bribe they wish to offer has no direction.The solution though imperial but has been hit hard by the court.
It is fascinating that though the administration is heated up to ground the illegal mushrooming of superstructures after the orders from the Supreme Court but the fact is that it was its own officers and the state politicians who had allowed these structures to spring up.
Whence, an unsparing action should be taken against the officers and politicians who are knee deep in it.Only then an intense message will pass nipping the cancer forever in its bud. Therefore , I appeal that the hoteliers who have understood the course of law that might take time but will come in the direction of crime. Please stand together and do not let anyone go unattended.
