cancer patients in Himachal Pradesh is parallel to the rise in chemicals in its farming sector. Both these problems cost heavy on the bank balance. The cancer patient’s bank balance succumbs to the medical expenses whereas the bank balance of a farmer exhausts in the procurement of the harvest boosting chemicals. The governor of Himachal Pradesh launched Zero Budget Natural Farming(ZBNF) today. It has already become a massive hit in other parts of the country. Karnataka was the first state to pioneer in it. The difference between Zero Budget Natural Farming and Organic farming ZBNF is popularly also called ‘do nothing’ approach. as it allows nature to do its job. Here ‘do nothing’ does not mean the abandonment of the field. It means to allow the crop to grow naturally. While organic farming is just an alternative farming approach where the crop requirements are met by inputs from natural sources only, though some synthetic inputs are allowed to be used as per the national standards for organic production. However, all natural substances are not allowed. The concept of big and beautiful vegetables and fruits has changed to healthy and don’t mind how the veggies look. The ZBNF technique is a mutual pact of respect between the farmer and the consumers.]]>
