In honor of my vote, I stand by better services over politics.
Slogans of Jai Shri Ram and Bharat Mata ki Jai jammed the air of Dalhousie on 5th of August.It was an unconventional expo of strength. Their catchphrases were neither saffron nor had a cast of Congress.They were an exemplary display of cause over politics.Politics lost to Doctor Bipin Thakur, an eye specialist. More than 200 people of Dalhousie stood strong requesting to revoke his transfer orders. He served as an eye specialist, also holding the responsibilities of the medical officer at Dalhousie hospital.
It was a protest for brains with brains.Though hoodwinked by the local politician of the ruling party, the people did not give up on their credence and respect towards their Chief Minister. On the 5th of August people started gathering on the snake roads of Baniketh . The narrow lanes filled up in no time. This huge mobilization was against the transfer of their brainy and proficient Doctor Bipin Thakur.
Annoyed by his transfer, the virgin blueprint was to siege the road to make their voice heard. They were the advocates of an accessible and considerate Doctor .”Half of our health issues are cured with his assuring words and sense of humor.He is always in a pleasant mood”, said Japan Singh.
Dalhousie is an undersized but avowed hill station in Chamba district of Himachal Pradesh -India. Chamba was once acknowledged for its progressive development during the pre-independence era. The show of strength in support of service over politics verified that the people here are prodigies of thought-provoking development.
Therefore, they gave a contemporary synonym to politics in their area. It is better services which is over individual interest. As soon as the assemblage was tipped off, of the Chief Minister of the State Himachal Pradesh, Jai Ram Thakur ’s travel plan, which changed from air travel due to bad weather to by road. In honor of the Chief Minister, the people refrained from blocking the road. Instead, they placed themselves peacefully raising slogans of Jai Shri Ram. This expression was not in favor of a party or a person but in favor of the retention of an efficient medical practitioner.For this, they overstepped the loyalties towards their individual parties. That day the Congress and the Bhartiya Janta Party were off-tracked to make way for better services. 
Surinder Bhwani said , ” Dr. Bipin helps the patients out of his own pocket. He loses no time to treat them. He is a total package. His treatment involves surgeries, medicine, humor, and counseling”.No wonder, he is called the God of eyes in the region. His work is not finite to his studies.With his guidance, this particular hospital has won successive awards for cleanliness.
The protest should be understood in-depth for the right reason. To clear the dirt of politics better services is the solution. The feudalistic attitude of generations being devoted followers of a party should be wiped out. People should recognize the better and the new to make way for the better and new.
