It became the part C state . The date selected for it was the 26th of January in the year 1950.Before attaining the status of a full fledged state on 25th January 1971, it had an experience of being a union territory (UT) for 23 long years.It remained a UT from 18 of December in the year 1950 till the time it attained the state hood.Its state animal is snow leopard and state bird is western Tragopan.It has 12 districts which are Hamirpur,Kangra,Bilaspur,Mandi,Chambā,Una,Sirmaur,Lahaul and Spiti,Kullu,Kinnaur,Shimla and Solan.Among these the largest district area wise is Lahaul-Spiti and population wise it is Kangra whereas the smallest district area wise is Hamirpur and population wise it is Lahaul -Spiti.

Since my childhood I have seen that when ever the patient is referred from Himachal to
PGI Chandigarh, it sends shivers to the spine. Partly because of the critical medical condition of the patient and partly because of the worry that how will it be managed, where will the attendant Stay, eat and manage in those stressful days.
Medical treatment being an expensive affair is hard to meet and along with that when the food and stay of the attendants is added it becomes heavy. Therefore ,I will be sharing a solution for the above mentioned problem.
We will travel together and explore. We will learn together and grow. We will observe together and express.Value add will always be welcomed.
