It has all in it love, trust, passion and of course a twist. A boy fell in love head over heels. No, it was not smooth. He was engaged to someone else. But his love would keep striking the cords in his heart. It is Yaman’s love story with guitars. He was in love with guitars, so much so that he did not even want to strike its chords. All he wished was to carve it with his own hands. But between came his engineering degree which had given him a job to pursue. Yaman Sharma was graduating with a degree in engineering but his degree and dream were poles apart. In his heart, he wanted to be a man with a guitar, lots of guitars. It is always said that love never comes easy. Therefore, he had to make his choices. Four years of investment in engineering took him to a job interview instead. He joined it and did survive the job for a few months. But his calling was pulling him in a different direction. He knew that if he will not risk the unusual he will have to settle for the ordinary. Therefore, he left to be an inch closer to his dream. He left his job and started making customized guitar cases.” Dreams don’t work unless you do. I was determined to live my dream but I had no build ups in my mind. I knew I am not a great musician but I understand guitars like no one else does. The smile on my face is bigger when I have one close to me. People do have dreams with determination but some degree of support is needed and I was lucky. The life saver for me was the unconditional family support. It came in the form of both emotional as well as financial support. My parents never forced me into a job. I found another job out of will. It was a blessing in disguise. It was in the sales department of a popular music brand. I wanted to be surrounded by guitars and there I had the opportunity. I joined it. I used the internet for my best growth during that time to read about the guitars. My time as a sales representative was up when I got a signal, I fell sick. Lying on the bed, I thought I’ll die without living my dream. The next thing was to put forward a seven day off application and reach back home. Those seven days were life changing. I had locked myself in the room and had started making my first guitar. Childhood memories shapes your passion. My childhood had memories of my father’s hobby of making things out of wood. This gave me a jump start. It was while carving wood that I realized I had learned his ways. I came out of the room only with the final piece. It was after seven days. I did not leave my job that day but it had built up strong. I went back but not for a long time. My parents gave me my first investment to take my passion hands on. The only thing they said was, ”Whatever you do ,put your heart in it .” I am a bewitched with the law of attraction. If we want something in our lives sincerely the world works to bring us together. My first piece sold for 57k in 2015. Since then there have been no looking back. I carve out wood to make guitars have never compromised on the quality of things. I make sure that all the parts are bought from the world-renowned shops. For me, the word of mouth publicity and quality works well. I plan to start exporting our handcrafted customised guitars to America by the next year. ” Cathode Guitar Basses is a known name in handcrafted customised guitars today. Their guitars start from 60k. Based in District Solan of Himachal, Yaman Sharma swears by how the internet has made the world a small place. Well connected around the world through the internet sitting in Solan has rubbished the need to have an outlet in a metro.” My phone number which is 094182-58458 and my website keeps me going. Use the internet, don’t let it use you, it is by Romal Tune. I read it once and it fine-tuned me forever, ”shared Yaman Sharma the man who had the commitment to stand with his love and the stability to keep the relation going.]]>
