To the bikers paradise with Moto Hawks

Himachali topliners

In a candid interview,  Abhishek Mittoo shared what it means to be a hawk on two wheels. 1-How did a bike turn into a hawk for you? It was my passion to ride a bike. More so to enjoy every whiff of breeze that it brought along with it. I started riding a bike very early in my life. Every ride brought the urge to explore more. This urge took me on many explored as well as many unexplored roads. I always wanted to share my experiences. 2-Was it a smooth ride for your passion with professional wings?

  1. Moto Hawks, To the bikers paradise with Moto HawksYes! It was. I shared my idea with  Chureshwar Sewa Samiti. They helped me with it. It was with their and my friend’s help that we got a team of professionals and my first 12 riders for the trip.
3-how many bikes tour operators operate in Himachal? There are about 500 bikers moving on Leh road every day. This makes it a huge business but the irony is that there are only around 10% who are from Himachal. Most of them are from outside our state. 4-What consist of your trip?
  1. Moto Hawks, To the bikers paradise with Moto HawksThe first thing which I will quote is the passion to ride. It is a common factor for every rider . Along with it, the trip is full of challenges. Every curve in the mountain s unfolds a new layer of Himalayas. For me, it was more important to form a ream of clam and composed professionals who perform under any stress than just professionals. Thankfully the team is comprised of the best. I bring back memories from every trip. This journey to Leh is though.I ride  on the same road but it is never alike. It can never get   monotonous or predictable . The bikers add to the light moments of the list.
5-Did you hit a blind stop ever in the mid of the journey? Many times I must say but we as the team get through all of them peacefully. Once, while crossing Rohtang there was a major landslide. While cleaning it a huge stone fell on the JCB vehicle and it fell down. We were stuck there for hours. The bikers teamed up and we managed to bring two bikes on our back to a clear spot. It took us three hours. Adventure and challenge are part and parcel of the game. 6- Is the bike ride to Leh only for youngsters?
  1. Moto Hawks, To the bikers paradise with Moto HawksNot at all. Though we have kept the starting age at 25 years but most of my participant’s age vary between 35-65 years.
7- What would be your advice to the prospective bikers who wish to join the Hawks for the bikers pilgrimage to Leh? Keeps your lungs healthy and heart strong. Exercise and stay fit. The world is a beautiful place to explore.A trip is spread between 7-15 days.We also take SUVs with us for the people who want to travel for the beauty of the mountains. It is a must to take out a few days just for yourself and live your dream. 8-How do you foresee the coming five years for Moto Hawks?
  1. We will be starting trips with our foreign clients next year. The number of tours will also be increased to three per year. Our immediate trip is lined up for August 11th this year.T his one is till Kaza. We have aligned it with the local festival in Kaza.Himachal is a place to feel.
