Happy Himachal day.
Today himachalwire.in has achieved its first year. It is an important date for the state as well us for me. Hence, to commemorate it further I have an observation to share and a proposal to make.
The newspaper is a customary thing in the morning in almost every household. My childhood was flabbergasted with how these pages of paper clutched the world together on the breakfast table. The newspaper has stood the test of time. Many fragments of the news which appealed to me during the childhood days, are still guarded in a file. Most of them are an assortment of dates which marked a historical marvel or are of opinion pieces.
They still hold me whenever I flip through them. I fervor the presence of newspaper in my life.
The black and white colour brew at times have brought out the black and white of the society and at times have concealed it with its black and white. Though, I still feel that it is the most hypnotic thing I have ever been witness to.
I affiliate the newspaper with a chameleon. The ink used remains black but its words are read in divergent shades.
I did acquiesce the upswing in crime, the altering inclination to follow and the bout to cover what is in and what is trending?
It might be the insistence of the hour.
In the process, I met people who wanted to publish something which will need the brain, stimulate the mind and is close to heart. Everything accorded with my journey.
Today himachalwire.in has achieved its first year. It started as my solo walk for health and happiness. I am humbled by and thankful to all the contributors. Our Facebook page has crossed 13000k in its first year. The first year was refreshing but I remained irregular. I would try to remain more regular in my second year.
Your response has added to my smile and I can’t thank you enough for it.
In my second year, I advocate and appeal for a change. A modification in attitude and in approach. I propose that the concept of presenting fresh flowers in the political circle should be switched by presenting flowers made from the newspaper. The politicians are the ones who occupy the major space in the newspaper. They are the ones who please or create a stir in the country.
The newspaper flowers will reach them coloured. The colour will represent emotion. Red will represent anger, yellow will represent harmony and appreciation, green will be the colour of growth. Accordingly, the different colours will portray different emotions of the public. Without a word, people will put across their emotions to their leaders.
I would like to volunteer for the services.
